Contemporary Political and Social Issues

Alan Wolfe, Series Editor

This series aims to publish books in which social scientists and seasoned observers of the political scene use their expertise to comment on issues of contemporary importance in American politics. Examples include immigration, affirmative action, religious conflict, gay rights, welfare reform, and globalization, but these are only suggestive. Potential authors should seek to write books that meet the highest standard of scholarship, but which are also written for generally educated readers and which seek to influence public debate.
