Studies in Medieval and Early Modern Civilization |
|
Marvin Becker, Series Editor This interdisciplinary and comparative series features outstanding monographs treating significant aspects of life and thought in Western Europe and the Near East. Especially favored are those works that seek correlations among various aspects of culture and those that join historical research with perspectives from such fields as anthropology, linguistics, economics, and art. The objective of each monograph is to house the results of individual research within a general frame, examining each historical occurence in light of its own impact on the development of civilization. Marvin Becker is Emeritus Professor of History, University of Michigan. Editorial Board
